Everything about Tapper Meta (Facebook) ads protection

Intro to Meta (Facebook) Ads:
Meta (Facebook) is a leading online social media and networking platform, offering one of the most effective ways to advertise online due to its massive user base that spans all demographics.

Facebook Ads differ from Google Ads in key ways. Google Ads rely on high user intent, targeting through keywords, and charging per click (CPC). In contrast, Facebook Ads target lower-intent users based on custom audience interests and segmentation, with costs calculated per 1,000 impressions (CPM).

Tapper helps safeguard your Facebook ads by tracking and excluding invalid activity from your targeted audience.

Why Use Tapper Facebook Ads Protection?

Prevent Impression Fraud: Ensure your budget isn’t wasted on traffic that won’t convert.
Protect Your Budget: Keep your ads running throughout the day without being drained by bots.
Minimize Competitor Impact: Since Facebook ads are CPM-based, competitor click fraud is less of an issue.
How Does It Work?
When a user clicks on your Facebook ad and lands on your website, Tapper detects whether the user is valid based on a sophisticated set of detection rules and various data points. Once an invalid user is identified, Tapper signals to Facebook that this user is invalid, adding them to a dynamic custom audience list that is blocked from seeing your future ads.

When implementing Facebook protection, Tapper creates audience exclusions for your active campaigns. Applying these exclusions might trigger a review of your ads due to changes in targeting. Most ads are reviewed within 24 hours. Once the audience lists are live, they will automatically update and improve over time, so your ad sets shouldn’t re-enter the learning phase or go through another review.

Tapper requires at least one click on an ad that redirects users to a landing page to identify fraud, so it only supports ads that lead users to external sites. Ad accounts running only Facebook-contained ads, like Video Ads, Form Generation Ads, or Impression Campaigns, won’t be protected.

For ad accounts with mixed ad types (those that keep users on Facebook and those that redirect to an external site), Tapper will detect the clicks and users can add the exclusion audience to the ad set of the non-supported ad types.
