# Suspicious Ad Click Prevention

Tapper’s Suspicious Ad Click Prevention feature identifies and flags ad clicks where the script successfully loads, but no subsequent user interactions or events are recorded. This behavior often indicates low-quality traffic, potential fraud, or technical issues.

#### How It Works

* Detection: The system monitors ad clicks and identifies sessions where no interactions (e.g., page views, scrolls, or clicks) occur after the script loads.
* Threshold Configuration: Advertisers can set a minimum number of suspicious sessions before action is taken.
* Default Setting: The default threshold is 3 suspicious sessions per day, which can be adjusted based on your specific campaign needs.

#### Why It Matters

* Reduce Wasted Ad Spend: Suspicious clicks often come from invalid traffic, which drains budgets without contributing to conversions.
* Improve Campaign Quality: Identifying and addressing these clicks helps maintain higher-quality traffic and ensures accurate performance metrics.
* Early Problem Detection: This feature can also reveal potential technical issues, such as tracking errors or connectivity problems, allowing for quick resolution.

Customizing Your Settings

To adjust the threshold for suspicious ad click detection:

1. Navigate to your Protection Script > Manage Detection Rules.
2. Scroll down to Suspicious Ad Click
3. Set the desired minimum number of suspicious sessions per hour.
4. Save your changes, and Tapper will apply the updated threshold automatically.
