Installing the tracking template on Google Ads campaign level
Tapper uses a tracking template to monitor your ads. By default, our system installs this template at the account level of your Google Ads account. However, if you're running ads across multiple different domains within the same Google Ads account, the default tracking template setup won't track correctly.
In such cases, you'll need to apply the tracking template specific to each domain at the campaign level within your Google Ads account. This ensures accurate tracking, assuming you've organized your domains into separate campaigns.
Example:
Suppose you have registered Website A and Website B in your Tapper account, both using the same Google Ads account (12345) but with separate campaigns. Campaign A serves ads for Website A, and Campaign B serves ads for Website B.
Instructions:
Log in to your Tapper account.
Select website A from Protected Websites on the left corner of your dashboard.
Navigate to Manage Google protection, scroll down to the Tracking Template section, and copy the code.
Go to your Google Ads account (12345), select the appropriate campaign that serves ads to website A (campaign A), click on Settings Additional settings Campaign URL options
Implement the tracking template you copied into the tracking template field, and click Save.
Repeat the process for website B and campaign B.
